"Ma" and "na" are pronounced with a short "a," so they rhyme with "blah." "Mi" sounds like "me" or "three," with a long "e." Together, it's mah-nah-mee, but don't elongate the vowel sounds.

Yes, it's pronounced like tsunami - just replace "sue" with "mah." I've never seen the word used as anything other than a name, so I have no idea what it means.
