It means that we are born in the image of God- which is biblical, and not arrogant- it means that God made us to be like Him, and since we fell in sin, we cannot be unless we have chosen to be redeemed by the blood of Jesus. When I say made to be like Him, that does not mean we are little gods. So do not take me wrong there- people that say, we become God that makes us arrogant.

It means on one level that their human nature corresponds analogously to the divine nature inasmuch as their humanity is characterized by the qualities of intellect and will. Further, it means that they have a particular dignity that comes from this analogous correspondance, a dignity that cannot be mitigated by a temporal power. It would only be arrogant if this quality was applied to an individual alone and that this individual claimed that the imago dei meant exemptions from the divine or natural law and that this identity was self-achieved and self-merited, rather than a grace that was intended to make one holy and good.

They meant they are Made in The Image of God.
Imago (image) Dei (deity or God).
This is scriptural-we are made in the image of God and this what makes us worth Him reclaiming us. We have the free will to choose but must deliberately choose not to be in His will and thus be lost for whatever good he has for us. It is not arrogant. That is what they meant.

it means "the image of God"
it depends on how they said it..
the bible said man was made in the image of God...so that is ok to say
but if they said it and acted egotistical, then they are arrogant
