I suggest that wait at least four or five days before conducting your follow-ups. Chances are that since you applied on a Friday, that the hiring manager has not even seen the application yet. (S)he may not get the application until Monday.

Persistence IS important, but you need to give the "process" time to work too.

Best of luck to you!!!!

Give it at least a couple of days before checking up on applications, even waiting a week is ok too.

It gives your potential employer time to look things over and it allows you to seem interested in the job, but not overly eager.

One of the worst things employers have to deal with is applicants that won't leave them alone!

Happy job hunting!

If you are calling to see if they looked at your application give them about three days. If in the future you go for an interview and you want to call wait about four or five days but that can depend on how quickly the job is going to be filled.

I have worked very closely with several managers who do hire and trust me....the last thing they want is for people to call asking about their applications.

As long as you have an appealing resume, they will call YOU. If they are interested.

Chances are if they haven't called you in a least 2 weeks, you probably don't meet their requirements.

Your resume is your first impression, so make it good.

Get onto it, there is nothing like persistance, a good employer will love an attitude like that, if they don't forget them and go somewhere else

wait a week? and keep busy promoting your skills in the meantime. Look for someone who needs what you can offer.
Good Luck!
