I am interested in taking an excursion in Cozumel. I definitely want to go to a beach. I am traveling with a big party and some people don't swim. We want to snorkle but the people who don't swim just want to hang out around the beach. Does anyone have any suggestions of something simple but nice? Parasailing is a must also.

I have been to Cozumel a couple times on cruises and beach, snorkel scuba and swim times ate the best things to do there. I took a tour of the island once and frankly I didn't see anything I would recommend you go see. I understand that there are some Mayan ruins there but the best tours for seeing Mayan ruins are those that go to the main land and go to Chichen Itza or Xcarat.

We have taken 4 cruises from Galveston to Cozumel, before the hurricane messed it up a few years ago. Not sure its condition at this time, you might want to call the excursions desk on the ship to find that out.
When we were there we went to this cute beach that had a small zoo, shops, pool, water toys and canoe's, snack bar, etc. The snorkeling was great, we saw turtles, all kinds of colorful fish, stingrays and a barracuda! They have sunken some stone carvings from local ruins underwater for you to snorkel around- a nice touch.
On the beach area, they have girls that do massages right out in the open for cheap!
At the bar, they served unlimited sodas, and the water toys were free- (first come first served). I don't remember if they offered para-sailing there or not, but just check on that.
I am pretty sure the place was called Playa del Sol, or something like that. It was very inexpensive at that time, and we had to pay cash for our own cab ride. Watch out for those cabbies!! They like to speed and follow too closely...

We hosted a 19-guy or woman relatives reunion on the Ecstasy in 2006. She is a smaller and older deliver in the Carnival fleet yet remains magnificent. Progresso is a sturdy place to get great deals because of the fact that they don't look to be as advertisement as Cozumel. specific, they do have a topless sunbathing deck however the only those that are topless up there have been previous, fat bald adult males! because of the fact that she is a smaller deliver, I felt greater action. be advantageous to take some Dramamine basically in case. It expenditures $50 in step with vehicle to park on the Port of Galveston for a 5-day cruise ($70 for a 7-day cruise). it quite is the biggest worry you will face for the time of the holiday. You drop off your passengers and bags and then the driving force parks the vehicle. you will possibly be able to desire to income in as a team so your social gathering has to attend on the cut back till you come from parking the vehicle. Take a lot of $a million, 5 and 10 in USD for procuring in the outdoor markets, tipping excursion guides, taxis and so on. Mark your bags with some colourful yarn, ribbon or plastic flags from the ironmongery shop. this might help you discover your bags without postpone once you come to the port. Spend the money to get a porter to bypass with the aid of customs on your return holiday. They expedite the go out. Plan approximately $a million or 2 in step with bag tip on your porter. this protects a ton of time!

Are you taking the Conquest of the Ecstasy? I took the Conquest two years ago and had a fabulous time. If you want to go to the beach you can do the catamaran trip which will enable all in your party to enjoy as you will be able to snorkel and they will be able to party on the beach. Xcaret and Chankanaab Park are also great but they More of a tour than just a do what you want kind of thing.

while you are in Cozumel, there is alot to do. There are also free beaches you can go to. Carlos and Charlies is now open on the beach, you can snorkel right off the beach. There is alot to do for everyone there. Chairs etc. I would try this beach. Just get a cab and tell him you want to go there. They will take you there it is around 12.00 for four people.

I went on that cruise last year. We did a volcano drive, and you can rent a car and drive around this huge volcano. We also went on serveral fishing trips, which was really tiring. Yeh, Parasailing is the BEST!!! Theres this other thing, and i cant remember what its called. You have a huge helment over your head and shoulders, and your lowered into a tank that has tons of fish and beautiful coral and plants. although it is in water its not exactly swimming. you more like walk on the bottom of the ocean.
