I was the apple of both of my grandmothers eyes, but one of them did not like my little sister AT ALL. I have no idea why, but she was just horrible to my sister since the day she was born. But, when my sister got to around 8 years old, she started looking like how my grandma did when she was that age, and all of a sudden my sister was like her little angel! Lol. So, I guess it's just the luck of the draw. Some people have amazing grandma's, others have friggn witches! I suggest you don't take her for granted, though, because I you don't know what you've got till it's gone.

No, my one surviving grandma is one of my favourite people in the world; she lives about 10 minutes away, so I go and visit her an awful lot.
But I am her only grand-child (I'm the only child of her only child), so I think she likes to spoil me a bit. Not money-wise - she's not wealthy enough for that, although I do get some for special occasions - but she always has time for me, she's offered to let me live with her before, she's kind and patient, she gives me advice when I need it, etc.

Remember- Your grandparents were once parents. That's a hard role to forget. Your Grandma isn't going to let you get away with stuff. She'll call you on it. Later, you will thank her for it.
Don't expect a 'free ride' as far as behavior goes. If you are misbehaving, then, she'll catch you!
You didn't say what she was doing that was 'mean.' Are you being abused in any way? If so, you will need to tell an adult.

Mine was a bit adventurous and different.
She would dress up and trick or treat on Halloween.
She took me to the park once and asked other kids to push us both on the little ride that you were supposed to pump and go around, faster, faster, till I felt ill.
She would fill her tub 3/4 full of water, and let me "swim" and it didn't matter if I got the floor all wet. I don't remember her being in the room to see that I didn't drown.
She let me put her pot holders on the wood burning range, and flip them over with a spatula, making "pancakes".
Many other things. I sure miss Gramma.

Mine isn't exactly mean but she likes my cousins more than me lol. She always takes them shopping and makes things for them and stuff, and the only way she ever does something like that for me is when my dad says something to her about being unfair, so she does it because she is forced :(

My step-grandma is.
I do not like her.
My real grandma is too old to be mean or nice.

They should be nice to the young ones as they are there to set an example for us so we can treat our grand children with kindness.
