Hi!
I thinking of posting flyers around town offering dog walking services. If you saw one of these flyers, what would you like to see on it? Also, what price would you be willing to pay a dog walker, for say, a 30 minute walk. Should there be different times for different dogs? Should I just have a flat rate of 5 dollars per walk, or do something like 2 dollars per 10 minutes? Thanks for any help you can give me!

Since I have large dogs I would be interested to know what your qualifications were and how much experience you have handling dogs. I would also want to make sure you were bonded or carried insurance. Waht happens if something happens to one of the dogs you are walking or to someone by one of the dogs you are walking?
It is a great idea but one with major issues about safety of other people and the dogs.
Price would depend on what area you live in. There are many pet sitting services and walkers that belong to some of the national organizations look online at some of them and see if you can ifnd out prices for your area.

I would first of all like to see your phone number and how you can handle the dog, or if you are really good with dogs , and I would pay 5 dollars per walk, or if a person wants you to walk the dog weekly, maybe 20 dollars a week. You can also very the price like on how big the dog is or if he pulls or not.As for the different dogs, it depends on how they work with other dogs (behavior: aggressive or loving, etc.) Just be ready for some people who like to get real specific on how their dog is treated or on how you walk them.

I'm a suspicious person I'll admit, but if I don't know the person who's walking my dog I'd want references, and qualifications. (I.E. Can you handle the dog if s/he starts to pull? Have you walked dogs before, etc etc.) People treat their animals like their children so you'll need to show that you're responsibile enough to get the pooch home safe.

if you look in your yellow pages, or on line, you can find services that do this professionally. just pretend that you are a potential customer, and ask them all kinds of questions. you can decide what you want to charge.
then, when you're ready, you can put up ads in pet food supply stores, (and if the staff know you, that's great, because if someone looks at your ad, the staff can recommend you) or grocery store, vet offices, you get the picture.
