I've just hit 16, and want to learn how to ride a moped and get a license.
I was wondering how important the license plate reading part of the test is, as I have difficulty reading letters and numbers that are far away, but otherwise my vision is fine. Will this matter?
Also, if anyone could recommend any nice models of moped, that'd be great. I had my sites set on a Vespa PX, but they only come in 125cc, and at my age 50cc is the limit, right?

Any other advice or things I should know would be spiffy! Thanks!

^_^

Dare I ask why reading license plates matters when driving?
Unless your a police officer, I can't see the use..

But ok, glasses! Will do!

Get to know the highway code. If you can not read the number you fail. I do not know the distance it used to be 25 yards but then it was thre letters and three numbers on the plates. But wear your specs. If you use them to pass your test you have to use them every time you drive

For the test, remember that two wheels on the ground are better than one.
