(12 billion) / (300 million) = 40 dollars from each American
According to your numbers the wars probably cost a little more than 100 dollars per month from each working adult in USA.
In 2004 the GDP was 11.75 trillion.
It is probably 13 trillion now.
(12)(12) / 13000 = 1.1 percent of GDP.
Twelve billion per month adds up to a little more than one percent of the yearly GDP.
In national debt was 65 percent of the GDP in 2004.
8885 / 13000 =
The debt is probably 68 or 69 percent of GDP now.
Ron Paul wants to end the wars and end wasteful spending in American government.
You should consider voting for him if you care about these things.

Last week reading the online news clips, the figure was 60 billion a month just for Iraq. Neocons just can't stand social programs so they divert funds to military contractors, which would be okay, but other things like farm subsidies don't get changed. There is no real budget.

It already adds up to "real money". As for the answer that the war will be paid for with Iraqi oil money I won't hold my breath. I think the truth is that that the good old U.S. taxpayer will foot the bill.

It already is real money. It is a whole lot of real money. War is expensive, even after it is over. When a nation's major business is war, it can get pretty crazy.
