I love Malibu coconut rum. It just has a smooth flavor and taste. Bacardi 151 is also pretty good, and will mess you up heh

Rum preference is very subjective. Some people prefer a white rum with smoothness and minimal flavor and others prefer a rich dark rum which is slightly sweeter.

One rum you can't go wrong with is Flor de Cana, a nice Honduran rum that comes in light and dark. It's reasonably priced, easy to drink , and very tasty.

I burned myself out on rum from my trips to Jamaica and I don't drink it anymore. But without question the best rum is Jamaican rum, and therefore I would choose Appleton.
