I thinking about getting a tummy tuck, but I don't think my job will allow the time off since it's considered to be cosmetic surgery. Does anyone have a suggestion?

How long is the surgery recuperation? Any company allows certain time accumulation per month, sick leave and vacation separately. You would need to have enough to cover the time you need, you take sick leave first and then vacation and if you don;t have enough, you'll need to take time without pay.
I don't think tummy tuck recovery time is much, honestly I don't know. But you can also take advantage of weeks with Holidays, so it will take less time from you.
Your company has no business is knowing why you're taking time off, it's none of their business. So, Try to accumulate time or take it without pay if you don't have enough time saved.
Your company can't live without you? that doesn't exist, honey, USA can survive without a President, so can they. Congratulations on your tummy tuck, when you do it, don't forget to really take care of that area for ever!!

I used my vacation time. or take it without pay. I had lip and it wasn't as long a recovery as a tummy tuck, but i had a hysterectomy 8 months earlier so used up all my vacation time, so just took it with no pay. if you can afford the no pay part...good luck!

call in sick, take vacation, or get a job that doesn't care about that kind of stuff
