I wouldn't try it. Think of compatibility issues that happen with Windows pcs, and then add another element (a foreign OS), and imagine the possible headaches. If you want to use Mac OS, it is best to use an Apple computer. The newer ones also run Windows applications with their "Universal" applications, and the two systems get along.

However, if you feel particularly enthusiastic about using a pc for Mac OS, it can be done, with the use of an emulator. I have never tried it. I don't need the stress! Here is information about the procedure. (And if you do try this, be sure to back up any valuable information first.)

OR ... call the nearest Apple dealer and ask if they have a better product (it could all depend on which version of Mac OS you want to use.)

I have heard of friends re-using old PC laptops with Apple OS but have never tried it myself as I (don't shoot) am an Apple phobe and prefer my beefed up MS system to Apple layout. You could give it a go.

Yes, it is possible to do a native install of OSX on a PC.

However, it is unlikely that someone of your skill would be able to do it.

There is no earthly reason why not, but you may see conflicts when it comes to peripherals and items such as sound/graphics and other cards.
