Time will allow you to move on. It takes awhile to get over someone but once you go day after day without seeing or hearing from the person you will eventually stop obsessing.

It is impossible as long as you want it should be. I will not say that you take some severe steps to forget him, all you have to do is stop thinking about him. This will happen if you think about something else. This will be the only conscious effort from your side.
And if you feel that you are in a situation I have never experienced, then you are wrong. I know what a difficult process it is. My father used to talk to me 2-3 times a day for nearly 2 months to help me get over my girlfriend. Then he decided to send mr to a psychologist. But I said to myself that I am not a weak mind. This was my creation and I will end it. And with this determination I was able to forget that girl within a week. And I am as happy as ever. Infact I also take interest in other women now.
One week of strong effort to get your mind to think about other things. Thats all!
Good luck

Start loving yourself - do everything fun that you like and with your friends and family. Focus on doing things to help others.
Go listen to a discourse by an enlightened master or go on a spiritual retreat and realise love within you. When you are in touch with the love within you, you radiate and new love will be attracted to you!

Thoughts flow toward wherever you focus your attention. "Trying to forget" someone focuses attention toward the person you're trying to forget, increasing thoughts about that person.
Don't try to forget. Practice focusing you attention onto something or someone else. Whenever your thought patterns drift toward the memory of that person, GENTLY redirect your attention elsewhere.
Once you stop giving thoughts about this person new energy, the old residual thought patterns will dissipate and you'll be free.

This is reality, and I know that you have enough mental strength to cope up with the situation ! Take your time , engage yourslf in work you like . You will surely forget him , though a little spot will be in your mind forever - and allow it to stay !

try and involve yourself in other activities so that you are engaged all the time. This way you will not have the time to think of him. Moreover you should stop running behind him. Put your foot down and take a stand for yourself.

you dont have to actually "forget "him but you should just tell yourself that if he doesnt love you.. its not worth your time and energy to let it get you down... there are lots of fish in the sea and you will find someone one day who loves you the way you love them
