Who is happier? The caterer, the photographer, the parents and then the guests and the bride and groom are at the bottom of the list. The wedding is a lot of pressure for them and stopping to take pictures or to do the things you do at a wedding can be annoying and stop you from really enjoying the whole thing. Theyare often tired by the end of it which is not a big help for the wedding night. It is a wonderful day one they will cherish but the bride and groom are on both the top and bottom of the list of who is happier?

I think the groom is happier at that moment. He's decided that he wants the bride for the rest of his life and that she is the one for him. (Unless, of course, she pushed him into marriage.)
All eyes on that day are usually focused on the bride, so, in many cases, she is busy worrying about how things are going, how she looks, and how the wedding came together...whereas people aren't focused on the groom as much, so he can really think about what the marriage means.
I think the bride is often happiest about the engagement. That's when she knows how he feels and she makes the decision to spend her life with this man. It's a moment just between the two of them... whereas the wedding can often be a big event with lots of people with opinions.

I would say the groom. The bride has been stressing herself to the brink for this one day, and no matter how wonderfully it goes, she will find something wrong with it to beat herself up about. So the bride will not be happy.
Men are more able to live in the moment and when they are pronounced man and wife he can feel good. Assuming of course that he really wants to get married to her.
Brides plan this one day their entire lives and it is the most important day they will ever have, so that does not add up to a happy relaxed mood.

The bride is excited that all her hard work is finally in play, she will worry about every detail untill she walks down the asile. The groom is happier because he will spend the entire morning hanging with his best friends, and gets to see the one girl above all others.
So the Groom because he gets to drink after the wedding and gets to have a special night somewhere exotic with his wife.

As the bride, I was late to my wedding because of my makeup and hair person-long story, so an hour before, I wasn´t too happy. My husband to be was chilling in his hotel room with his best man, so I am sure he was happy.
At our wedding, my husband said when he saw me he cried, and so I know I was happy, and he was too. This has continued for the last 2 months-we both cannot believe how great it is to be married.
Yes, I will have to agree with others-my Dad doesn´t have very good teeth, and when we look at pictures, he has a grin from ear to ear. I think he was the happiest! I am the last of his three daughters, and he gained a wonderful new son.

I know most people are going to say the bride, but I think that besides the wedding planning which a women would obviously be more excited about, I really believe that on the day they say their vows & become man & wife they should both be equally as happy. I truly belive my husband was anyway.

Obviously the bride would be happier. How many men can you think of that grew up dreaming about how their wedding was going to go?
Thinking about their wedding seems like something girls almost automatically grow up doing.

I really think it depends on the couple. Some grooms are just up in heaven that day, so happy to be surrounded by friends, family and the woman of their dreams. Some grooms don't like attention and are rather shy. Those tend to be so consumed with nerves that they wish the day away. I would tend to say brides but those bridezillas who are consumed with every detail make themselves miserable most of the day.

I don't know. My beloved and I were both too deleriously joyful to worry about who was happier.
And yes, we enjoyed the heck out of our wedding. Some people really do manage it.
I think if you can tell which is happier at the reception, that's not the best possible sign for the future of the couple.
