Actually, you are confusing two VERY different viruses.
HPV (Human papillomavirus) is responsible for genital warts, cervical cancer, and RARELY penile and anal cancer.
Herpes is ONLY responsible for herpes sores or lesions.
HPV and herpes are two COMPLETELY different viruses and have NOTHING to do with each other.
Herpes is caused by the herpes simplex virus. Genital herpes doesn't cause ANY health problems or long term health problems other then the painful and irritating sores. These sores heal (with or without medication) and go away. The virus becomes dormant inside the body and can "flare up" at any time to cause outbreaks.
HPV can cause cervical cancer in women which can be deadly. 10,000 women were diagnosed with cervical cancer in the US last year and about 4,000 of those women will die from it. HPV can also cause penile and anal cancer but it is VERY rare. It was estimated about 1,000 men were diagnosed with penile cancer WORLDWIDE last year. The warts are irritating and annoying, but they can be treated or removed with medication or surgery. Just because the warts are gone though, doesn't necessarily mean the virus that causes them is (HPV).
There is NO cure for HPV or herpes.

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.

I consider this can be a excellent question. I consider the trouble is that each the Black and White communities defined the younger black adult males by using rap song, and it's by no means the constructive rap its normally probably the most terrible rap tune in the market. I will don't forget listening to a rap music within the 90's with the aid of 'TOO short' that effortlessly informed young black youngsters that if you are now not a rapper or basketball player you are nothing. Rap is more mainstream now so it now not as hardcore because it was once but most no longer all but most songs are egocentric, terrible things, and that's the only factor that younger black youngsters are listening to that applies to them. Just my opinion.

Herpes causes outbreaks of very sore ulcers or tiny blisters periodically for life, and I don't think most males find having either on the penis a very comfortable situation. During an active outbreak, as long as the lesion hasn't dried, you also should not have sex. For the most part, the blisters on the head of the penis would make it unappealing anyway, becasue they are painful. At least warts can be treated. Herpes is a forever gift.

Ok, herpes does not cause cancer in women, you are thinking of chlamydia or genital warts.
And as far as herpes for a man, you cannot cure it, and will get open sores on your genitals. That doesn't sound like a lot of fun to me?

Just knowing the virus is present in the body is annoying and it is embarrasing to have to tell someone you have it. It is important to be honest because you are putting others at risk
