Ahh... the question of the Ages. Basically, people try to "convert" others to their religion because in their religious belief, their doctrine asks it's followers to bring others to the fold for their salvation. The problem is, which religion is the "right" religion where you will really be "saved"? Everyone believes that theirs is the one true religion, and herein lies the problem. I believe that each of us is on a journey of learning. you can be spiritual without being religious. I am not religious, yet I do try to learn a bit about each religion so I can respect the people who practice that religion. However, I do not respect over zealous fanatics; and I agree with you that once you make it clear that you are not interested, that person should respect you and leave you alone.

In every life the time comes to turn off the computer take a nap then go out and see people.
A wise woman once told me
Never let yourself get to tired, to hungry, or to alone.
Now believe what you want whatever that is and take strength from knowing that I and many others couldn't care less what it is, and it would never cross our minds to have you convert to anything. You are perfect and loved as is, whether you believe in one, three, many or no gods, and regardless of your sexual orientation. None of it matters.
In fact we only go ape on people that do care about what you believe and are willing to condemn you for it.
Blessed Be

Something bad? Like the Inquisition, or the Crusades? Or maybe you mean like the Third Reich? Maybe you mean like the wars in Ireland? How about the killing in the middle east?
Don't be stupid, there already have been and will be bad things happening because of religion. It is the very nature of religion to try and destroy other religions. It is the nature of the beast.
If you want sh*t like this to end, end religion.
"No god: know peace."

You should go to the Bible for answers to spiritual questions.
The TRUE religion will use it every time. Example...is Jesus equal to God?
(John 5:19) Therefore, in answer, Jesus went on to say to them: “Most truly I say to YOU, The Son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative, but only what he beholds the Father doing. For whatever things that One does, these things the Son also does in like manner.

This is a religion site so it is the main topic but I agree with you that pushing your beliefs on others is wrong. You can state your opinion but to judge someone not of your faith is wrong.

Grow up. This is a religious forum. Children should not be here anyway. If you are still struggling with the mean man that told you there is no Santa Clause, you are not ready for this.

Well let's see. I will admit, I'm not too fond of the Islam religion because they believe that if they can't convert us, then they kill us.
Christians, like me, are told by God in the BIBLE, to go out into the world and preach and witness to the people. Stop being so close minded. Let people talk to you about their religion. Whether you accept or not is your choice.

Don't worry, 'tater man, everything's all right. People who hate others because of their religion aren't really in it for God; they just want to glorify themselves.
This is the place to ask questions about religion. Did you have something you wanted to ask?

Sharing your beliefs is interesting, so what's the problem with this? If you feel someone is pushing their beliefs, ignore it. This is the Rel and Spir. forum.
