Panasonic makes several cordless (not cellular) phone that have a talking Caller ID in the base station that can be heard across the room, but if the handset is in one of the remote charging stations or being carried, while Caller ID appears on the LCD display, it is not spoken. Does anyone know of a brand and model where the spoken Caller ID sounds on the portable handset?

This is for a blind person who has a talking base station and lives in a big house and spends time outdoors near the house.

One user sent me a link to Panasonic which led to this:
"Unfortunately, the page you sent me to has several dozen phone and handset combinations in various model series (5400, 5700, 6000, 6700) and I waded through several of them none of them assured me that the caller ID came over the handset.
Which is why I asked for a model number."

I work for 1 of the large phone companies and to my knowledge their is not a phone on the market where the cordless handset itself has voice announce built into it, as the base unit does. I have a top of the line cordless phone system in my house, and the base is the only one that has voice announce capabilities. It would be nice when you aren't in hearing distance of the base unit. Might run that buy our equipment team.

The Panasonic with the color screen and expandable to 8 hand sets.

It also flashes different colors for certain calls.

The talking CID comes through the handsets as well as the base.

Blessing, so once you get a decision from an ex boyfriend or some random employer attempting to sell you something, you wont answer, besides the undeniable fact that it is a curse by fact I certainly have a extensive paranoia of solutions sort i don't be responsive to, solid question!!

I don't have either in our private phone or at work. Thank god for small favors - I think it would drive me to drink if I had one more voice to tell me to do something.

No, but my parents do have one of those Panasonic units. I HATE it!! The voice is horrible. And it gives you the last name first. I really wish I could turn it off when I'm around it. Please, please demo this product before you decide to buy it.
