Okay, so my friend sent me this email, and it had step by step photos of rats being prepared for chinese food. (Just thinking of this turns my tummy!) I am/was a HUGE fan of shrimp fried rice and chicken fried rice....yeah, not so much after viewing the email. Given, this wasn't the rice combo, but, ehhhhhh. I LOVED chinese food, our favorite restaurant is just right down the street, well, it use to be our favorite restaurant. I can't even look over there anymore. I just keep picturing them in the kitchen with the really pale white body of the rat....ick!!!!! My husband thinks that this is hilarious, but, not me! I am so grossed out by this, I really want to know, does anyone know for sure if they do this in the US? Either way, I don't think that I can EVER stomach any chinese food again! But, that doesn't mean that I'm not curious. (Would be happy to share the email with you if you really want to see it. As for me, yeah, I don't want to ever see it again!)

there is a show on the Travel Channel called Bizarre Foods
they show some foods from all over the world including rats snakes live insects fried roaches and live octopus just to name a cuouple so yea anything is possible but i do believe that the government inspections do not allow in US

To some people eatting beef is equally disgusting.
No that particular email has photoshop written all over it. I have seen that email a dozen times over the years. Especially the one about eatting babes(definitely photoshop). Don't believe every email picture u see.

Not in US or Caribbean Chinese food. But maybe in China.

no US Chinese food is using rats. If it happens it is in some backwater part of China, along with the dogs.

oh god I hope not cause i love chineese food . I would die if I found out that they cook rat meat in their food . good luck .

I don't think they use rats. I think they use kitty-cat. But not most restaurants -- only a few; very few.
