it happens at random times or sometimes when im running it feels like someone kinda knocked the wind out of me, but it's not a direct pain. I feel a little dizzy and i have to sit down for a little while. It usually lasts about 2-10 minutes and I can't do anything because i feel exhausted. Does anybody know what this is?

Paroxysmal tachycardia - and it can happen for lots of reasons, from stress/anxiety, to medications, to bending over too quickly, to actual heart conditions.

You really should see a qualified doctor for this, preferably a cardiologist. He she will run an EKG (or ECG, same thing) and might even have you wear a holter monitor, which is a 24 hour EKG that records those kinds of events when you push a button.

This is worrisome. Are you able to count your heart rate during these episodes? Have you had heart surgery in the past? Do you take large doses of decongestants? One serious possibility is supra-ventricular tachycardia. The heart can beat so fast that it cannot fill and pump blood efficiently, causing the dizziness and fatigue. One cause of this is an abnormal conduction pathway in the heart known as WPW or Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome.

Please see a reliable physician immediately or go directly to a cardiologist. I think you need to wear a monitoring device to diagnose your condition. Cardiologists have developed several effective treatments for this.

In the meantime, if you get these symptoms, have someone fill a plastic bag with crushed ice and hold it directly to your face.

I have the same problem. It can be caused by multiple things, such as an abnormally large heart, dehydrating, high blood pressure, and in some cases, heart disease. You should drink more water, and talk to a doctor. Good luck!

It could be a lot of things really. It doesn't sound too serious but I would check with a doctor. It could be ventricular tachycardia, or sinus tachycardia - irregular heart beat. Or just stress.
