1. Noodles and Ramen... I've never seen so many varieties of ramen in one place.

2. Sauces and chili oils

3. Vegetables

4. FRESH Seafood and a larger variety - depending upon the store you see very high sales volume so you know the fish is fresh. At the supermarket, you con't know how long it's been sitting under plastic.

I often shop at Wing Wah supermarket in Sacramento CA.
all my ceramic dishes and bowls with the blue carp many or most all my spatulas ladles and many knives.
I no longer live close.
I once had a charcoal stove for my wok I was told it was for the boat people it was in a round aluminum can with a terracotta liner with handles. the wok sat on 3 small points and a small door at the bottom to clean the ash and regulate the air flow...and had a lid.
my stove fell and the interior broke apart.
I can't not find a replacement
I wonder at your post here do you own an Oriental market?
Then I suggest you pay special attention to your Caucasian customers who do not speak your language and caution your cashiers to ask if we found everything.

Tons of imported wines, sake, candies, drinks (that you usually wouldn't find outside of their respective countries) Traditional sweets, (mochi, or sweetened rice balls) Special vegetables, spices, herbs, and fresh produce that are used in speific Asian dishes (garlic chives, japanese/chinese eggplant, lemongrass, sticky potates, winter melon, ginko nuts, bamboo shoots, murdok root, lotus root, the list goes on...Many foreign films and books are sold at the asian store i go to.....things hard to find, anime, manga and music, too. Fresh seafood is of higher quality there too. Lastly, they also have cultural items for sail (asian gifts, such as kimonos, fans bamboo mats, origami paper)
*You can probably guess the store i go to is mainly japanese but other asian items as well
hope this helps

The variety of spices and sauces from around the world - YUM.

Also I am from the UK, and these places are the only ones which sell UK products such as Horlicks drink, and Woodlands Gripe Water etc.

There are a ton of food items that they have that regular stores do not. Spices, kinds of rice, much better ramen noodle packets. Bottled green tea. wasabi peas, pocky. frozen gyoza and shu mai.

I go to a japanese grocery store that sells sushi and more exotic seafood as well.

Uwajimaya is the large Asian food market here and they have a fantastic selection of teas. I get my Matcha there.

I buy sushi, Botan rice candy (YUM! the inside wrapper is made from rice and melts in your mouth), veggie rice dumplings, etc. etc. also..they have lots of fantastic bamboo kitchen utensils, plates, etc. ..theres LOADS of stuff you can buy from Asian food markets. Its cool to go in and just try things to experiment and expand your diet.
