Romans, according to the trinity, God is composed of 3 co-equal, co-eternal "persons." That's why the first part of "trinity is "tri," which means "THREE." Do you see THREE "persons" in one God at John 20:28? I don't!

JimPettis, do you see three co-equal, co-eternal "persons" making up one God at Matt. 28:19? I don't.

Sisterzeal, the verse you refer to is John 10:30: "I and the Father are one." How does that reveal a trinity when it doesn't even mention three persons. You need THREE "persons" to even remotely to even try and prove the trinity.

Suzanne, I did not direct you to John 10:30. It is amazing that you see only what you want to see. BTW, trinitarian do use John 10:30 AND John 1:1 to prove the trinity. If you don't think they use John 10:30, did you bother to read sisterzeal's comment?
It does not matter how you translate John 1:1 it does not prove the trinity either.
You say the Bible clearly explains the trinity? Please tell me where I can find it. ANY Bible will do.
BTW, you did not answer my question.

Lysdexic Princess refers to John 20:28 as proof of the trinity. There, Thomas says to Jesus: "My Lord and my God. Can anyone see 3 co-equal, co-eternal, almighty persons in one God in this verse? After all, the first part of "trinity" (tri) means THREE. It is sad how some people go from the light back to darkness and carry a bad attitude with them.

Jeremy, let me spell the trinity out for you. According to one of my contacts: "Within the one being that God is, there exists eternally three coequal and coeternal persons, namely the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." Did you get that? Now look at 1 John 5:7 again. Does it say anything about the THREE being coequal and coeternal? No! It says they are "one." In the Bible "one" denotes harmony, accord, and being in agreement. Like a married couple being "one flesh." BTW, that part of 1 John 5:7 is spurious. It does not appear in modern Bibles.

Jeremey, one last wrong to correct. "Jesus" means "Jehovah is Salvation," NOT "God with Us." That's what "Imannuel" means.
I will overlook your slur on the NWT.

No, His followers did not see him as part of Trinity.
"O you who believe! Be helpers of God -- as Jesus the son of Mary said to the Disciples, 'Who will be my helpers in (the work of) God?' Said the disciples, 'We are God's helpers!' Then a portion of the Children of Israel believed, and a portion disbelieved. But We gave power to those who believed, against their enemies, and they became the ones that prevailed" (61:14).
"If only they [i.e. Christians] had stood fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that was sent to them from their Lord, they would have enjoyed happiness from every side. There is from among them a party on the right course, but many of them follow a course that is evil" (5:66).
"Oh People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion, nor say of God anything but the truth. Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, was (no more than) a messenger of God, and His Word which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him. So believe in God and His messengers. Say not, 'Trinity.' Desist! It will be better for you, for God is One God, Glory be to Him! (Far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is God as a Disposer of affairs" (4:171).
"The Jews call 'Uzair a son of God, and the Christians call Christ the son of God. That is but a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. God's curse be on them; how they are deluded away from the Truth! They take their priests and their anchorites to be their lords in derogation of God, and (they take as their Lord) Christ the son of Mary. Yet they were commanded to worship but One God: there is no god but He. Praise and glory to Him! (Far is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him)" (9:30-31).

You said ANY Bible will do?
YOUR WORDS: You say the Bible clearly explains the trinity? Please tell me where I can find it. ANY Bible will do.
HERE YOU GO:
How about King James:
1 John 5:7-8 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
Amplified
1 John 5:7-8 So there are three witnesses in heaven: the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit, and these three are One; and there are three witnesses on the earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree [are in unison; their testimony coincides].
CLEAR ENOUGH FOR YOU?
Do these Bibles do it for you or should I choose several others?? You said ANY bible that clearly states the trinity... well there you go.. or do you want to change your mind and say that "No, not any Bible will do.."? You can also check the New King James; 21 Century King James; Young's Literal; New Life; Wycliffe; and Worldwide English....
I see three people in this verse as well as Matt. 28:19 and 2 Cor. 13:14.. so what?
The other verses say Jesus is God. Not GOD but God. Jesus is fully God but God is not FULLY Jesus. It's safe to say that if Jesus is God, there is trinity since the Holy Spirit is God's Spirit.... but of course you don't believe that the Holy Spirit is a "he" person right? The only version you go by is The New World Translation (crap-infested mistranslations).
AGAIN: 1 Timothy 3:16 and Philippians 2:5-7.
And I've done told you, the very meaning of Jesus' name is "God With Us."

First, does anyone care whether you don't accept the fact of Luke's line is tracing Mary's line? Secondly, promises were made to David which both lines did. Lastly, a virgin birth is the only way for Jesus' sacrifice to become effective. Only a perfect human life could be exchanged for the value of Adam's life. At least one parent must be perfect as God was. Oddly today, we have no problem if we understand medicine about a virgin birth. Artificial insemination is common place. (Without a male being present.) Projections are for taking genetic material from bones to remake an embryo into the donors' image. This would not require males at all. We just do not think of virgin birth in that way.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, And the Word was God.
V. 3 All things were made by Him (God), and without Him was not anything made that was made.
V. 10 He (Jesus) was in the world, the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not.
V. 14 And the Word was made flesh (Jesus), and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, (the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of Grace and Truth.
V. 18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him.
In taking each verse of the First chapter of John, it is very clear who this scripture is talking about. The first verse declares one, Jesus, and the 3rd v. further notes it is Jesus, the 10th v. fully explains it to be Jesus, the 14th v. fully states it to be Jesus.
Now, if one would want to use this to make 3 persons in the "Godhead", they must ignore the rest of the verses and I don't think this is the way God wants us to interpret, by taking a verse out of context and throwing the rest away.
Many scripture in Isaiah tells us about God and Him alone being God. 40: 3 declares, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Isa 40:25 To whom will ye liken Me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. Isa 43:11 I, even I am the Lord, and besides me there is no God. Isa 44:8 ...Is there a God besides me? Yea, there is no God; I know not any.
In reading all of Isaiah, you'll never see any reference to a "trinity" form of God. ..."rightly dividing the Word of truth." II Tim 2:15

The elements of the Trinity were believe in seed form. But it was for the Church to work out with the help of the Holy Spirit all the implications of the Trinity.
The scriptures when you read them today seem crystal clear, but it was actually Catholic belief that Protestants now believe about the Trinity.
It took the Church about 500 years to work out the Christogical and Trinitarian teachings.
Refer to the Catholic Enyclopedia under the Article Trinity.

No, I don't believe in the Trinity, so that's what I see... I think we all read our own beliefs into the Bible, we interpret passages to support our own beliefs. Trinitarians are going to take the verses where Jesus says he is one with the Father and interpret them one way, and non-Trinitarians will interpret those exact same verses differently.
Jesus repeatedly said that he was one with the Father. Jesus also asked the Father to unite his followers one, "that they may be one, as we are." (John 17:11)... I take this last as clarification- 12 separate men can't be one in substance, but they can be united in vision and purpose, working together toward a common goal....
Regarding what Jesus' followers thought, Peter didn't call him God, but "the SON of the living God." (Matthew 16:16) I don't remember anywhere that any of Jesus' followers saying he was God, they said he was divine, holy, called him Master, but never God, the Father...

In reference to John 20:28 if you read down to the end of that chapter you will see that Jesus was the son of god
John 20:28-31
28 In answer Thomas said to him: “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him: “Because you have seen me have you believed? Happy are those who do not see and yet believe.”
30 To be sure, Jesus performed many other signs also before the disciples, which are not written down in this scroll. 31 But these have been written down that YOU may believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God, and that, because of believing, YOU may have life by means of his name.
Edit: This is a little copy and paste cause it was simply to much to write on my own soo here goes!!
Why would all the God-inspired Bible writers speak of God as one person if he were actually three persons? What purpose would that serve, except to mislead people? Surely, if God were composed of three persons, he would have had his Bible writers make it abundantly clear so that there could be no doubt about it. At least the writers of the Christian Greek Scriptures who had personal contact with God's own Son would have done so. But they did not.
Instead, what the Bible writers did make abundantly clear is that God is one Person—a unique, unpartitioned Being who has no equal: "I am Jehovah, and there is no one else. With the exception of me there is no God." (Isaiah 45:5) "You, whose name is Jehovah, you alone are the Most High over all the earth."—Psalm 83:18.
Edit, Wow.. Jermey K I cant believe that you would say The New World Translation (crap-infested mistranslations).
You yourself have used as an example the KJV 1 john 5 :7-8, Why not check out 1 john 5 :9-12 in the KJV.. I already took the liberty of doing it for you
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Joh. 3.36
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
Notice that at the end of 11 it also tells you to look at John 3.36
36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
So is the KJV crap-infested mistranslations also, Or do you always base your faith on contradictions?

MANY JEHOVAH WITNESSES GET THIS MIXED UP.
The 'trinity' is not 3 equal parts, at least not defined by the word of God. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are all different entities but at the same time God with their own functions.
1) The Father- creator and heaven of all that was, is, and to come- nothing or no one is above the Father- PERIOD (words of Jesus Matt 23:9)
2) Holy Spirit - omni present, one is blessed with the holy spirit when you truly accept the salvation of Jesus Christ- guides, convicts one to do what is right.
3) Jesus- the word of God - John 1:14, and savior of all those believing in His sacrifice. JESUS IS THE CENTER OF CHRISTIANITY- HE IS GOD, YOU CANNOT DIG HIM UP.
You CAN dig up Charles Taze Russell- with the pyramid for the a headstone that he personally picked out. When Jesus made a prediction- it became true 100% of the time. Charles Taze Russell predicted the end of the world for 1914- we are still here. He was a MAJOR FALSE PROPHET!
A message to Jehovah Witnesses- you might want to stop leading people into darkenss- there's a special place in hell for that.
Why won't this guy respond to me?

The Bible does not use the term "trinity". It is a word used to explain the "three persons" who have the essence of the one GOD, th 3 distinct persons of the Godhead. about 320AD Arius began to have a following for his concept of the Trinity.

The word trinity is not in the bible. However here is a scripture that shows all 3 in one placeMatthew 3:16-17 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. 17And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."
