Yeast infections are treated and cured with anti-fungal medication. Monistat cream is available over the counter or you can get a prescription for Fluconazole (brand name: Diflucan). All you have to do is visit your doctor and get a prescription for some medication.
You could also get some yogurt from the store. Yogurt can help balance the "good" bacteria and the "bad" bacteria in the vagina because it contains live culture in it.
Yeast infections are VERY common! And, they are not always caused by sex. Taking antibiotics can cause yeast infections and is one of the main causes for yeast infections.

get a monistat. you can get them from any drug store over the counter and they come in 1,3,5, 7, and 9 day treatments i think,
if it isnt too bad yet, i would go with the 1 day. its easy and quick.
if it is pretty bad already, get at least a 5 day and some anti-itch cream. that will help with the discomfort a lot.
people will tell you to eat yogurt and take acidophillous (however thats spelled) but those are preventatives and dont do a lot if you already have the infection.
you should take dietary suppliments anyway to maintain a healthy reproductive system to avoid this in the future, but some times these things happen.
