I am in need of a credit card and was primarily looking at getting one from Citi or Chase; specifically these two:

and
http://www.chase.com/ccp/index.jsp?pg_name=ccpmapp/card_acquisitions/unsolicited/page/PFSCreditCardDetails&sourcecode=9D5Y

Based on the features, benefits, APR's, and I suppose customer service, which do you guys prefer? The rewards aspect is nice to have but it won't be used much in the near future (I'm poor), but I still want to keep it in mind.

Or maybe there is a better card out there you guys can refer me to.

Also, how fast is the purchase transaction posting with each?

Since I have no credit history, what are my chances of being accepted for a Chase card other than the student offerings?

I have a Chase Amazon Platinum Visa and Citi Drivers Edge Platinum MasterCard.

Citi sucks. The customer service does not exist, and they need up to a week to post a transaction. Also, online payments take up to four days to post. Never had any problems with Chase. Very professional customer service and fast online updates. They also tend to provide higher credit limits.

Well im not sure if you can just straight up pay with your other credit card on one. What you CAN do though is called a "Balance Transfer" One of the two cards you have should allow this to happen, and all you do is transfer some debt from one to the other.

I recommend Chase. They are a major issuer of credit cards. I have both a Chase and Citi credit card and prefer Chase's online account management.

I am a credit counselor and I would recommend NO credit card--BUT that being said, given the choice, I vote for CHASE. If you get into trouble they are much easier to work with than citibank

I've had 'em both and both are great. Get the "No Fee" card and pay it off every month. Don't be late with payments as your credit numbers will suffer.

I've found Chase to be flexible and dependable. I don't know about citicards.

have never dealt with either one, I would suggest that you research this alot more before making a decision that could harm your credit.
