You need to get pencil and paper to plan.

Make some assumptions and always get more food than needed.
Figure on 75 - 100 hot dogs; 75 hamburgers (no need to make them huge, figure on 1/4 pound or slightly less), avoid steaks, but maybe get some thin chicken cutlets and marinate them prior to grilling.
Get the best buy on soda, and figure on 8 oz per person times 2 -3 refills.
You will need two large salad bowls (buy plastic ones in the party store). Figure on one head of lettuce to feed 6- 8 people. Add tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers (green and red).
Juice boxes for the younger kids get 2 per child
Punch can be made in large plastic bowls as well. Make enough for 40 servings.
Sheet cakes are best for a large group, but why not get bakery cookies as well.
Avoid ice cream on the beach unless you are prepared to have lots of ice.

50 hamburgers, some adults will eat 2, some kids won't take any.
50 hot dogs, one for each child, one for each adult.
enough steak tips for each adult to have some and a few kids who may want to try.
Soda at least one per hour per adult then extra.
Juice boxes at least 2 per hour per child
water...a few cases
Salad....a large bowl
Cake ..... a sheet cake will be plenty....but how about a smaller cake and fresh fruits, cookies and such instead
Ice cream, small amount for each person, guessing about 10 servings per half gallon.
Don't forget, things will be wasted. Soda warms up...gets spilled....gets set down and goes unclaimed...etc. Leftover food needs to be covered and iced immediately. It can be put back on the grill later to reheat if needed.
Leftover drinks, except for the punch, can be used later.

I agree with the other people who answered so I'll just suggest something for the small children....bibs...towels, washcloths...put them in zipper bags...and bring lots of wipes...have places for the small ones to lie down and rest on blankets...or quilts...so they are comfortable....and not stressed out..watch them so they don't get too much sun...sun tan lotion and bug spray....first aide kits....have everyone bring a paper about their health requirements..if people are on medication...they should have all this written down so in case of emergency people know what to tell the doctor or nurse...it's always best to be prepared then hopefully this won't be needed...when you are having a good time...but with that many together you want to cover all bases....maybe one person could be in charge of record keeping....
Have a wonderful time together....and travel safe...
