Well, lets take the standard animal cracker- the Barnum's Animals Snack Crackers.

Ingredients: Enriched Flour (Wheat Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate [Vitamin B1], Riboflavin [Vitamin B2], Folic Acid), Sugar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Yellow Corn Flour, Calcium Carbonate (Source Of Calcium), Whey (From Milk), Baking Soda, Salt, Soy Lecithin (Emulsifier), Artificial Flavor.

Nowhere in that description do I see anything non-vegetarian, although these crackers aren't vegan because of the whey. Some animal crackers don't contain whey, so they are vegan as well. Since there are hydrogenated things and such in these crackers, they aren't particullarly good for you, but they are vegetarian safe.

Vegetarians are people who don't eat meat. Animal crackers obviously don't have any meat in them, so of course they can eat them! Vegetarians might not WANT to eat them because they are shaped like animals and feel bad to eat them, but there is not meat content in them
=)

no way...the viscious slicing or the animal crackers down the center to make them plus the suffocation of the icing (optional) is terrible. have you ever seen the conditions of an animal cracker farm? the farmers are disgusting and are named joseph. what could be worse.

Last time I checked being a vegatarian meant not eating meat-not something in the the shape of something that meat comes from.........so I think it's OK.. but if you still feel bad pray for the dear animal cracker

this question is debatable. it can go eaither way. yes they are just crackers and veggies can eat crackers but on the other hand they are 'animals' and veggies dont eat animals, but i would go with yes they can eat animal crackers

Watch out hippies, there might be some kind of animal enzyme in those little crackers. Just to be safe I'd stay the hell away from those death crackers!
