The site is on the side of a mountain and we have a good wind (Oklahoma ) Any and all suggestions that can bring this in on an extremely limited budget are gratefully accepted.

Since you are talking about a small homemade turbine Im assuming there isnt going to be a lot of torque involved, so the blades dont need to be that efficient. Why not cut up someegg cartons and use the cups to catch the wind. You could even mount this kind of thing on a vertical axis

Look back the old farmers had what they called wind charger. To charge a battery bank . All the lights were 12v and that is the way the house was wired. The battery bank is a little expensive.
