Well, pretty says fruit tray or dessert tray with colorful candies... but for a B-day party dish to pass.. how about hot dog roll ups?

Flour tortillas - microwave 14 secs
Cheese whiz - spread on tortilla before or after microwaving
Hot Dog - roll up hot dog in cheezy tortilla

Slice and serve.

Can make peanut butter and jelly roll ups the very same way.

Good Luck
Hotttttttttt Dogggggggg

Here are a few suggestions:

1) Spinach dip with chips or crackers
2) Buffalo wings
3) a cheese platter with maybe some salmi or some other type of lunch meat.

Any of these can be made very easily or made a local deli in your neighborhood. Go to the local deli and pick up a booklet from them. You can get choose to make something on your own from their booklet or buy it from them.

A fruit dray with a yummy dip in the middle is fun. . .Or you could go somewhere that does the carved fruit, like melon balls served inside a watermelon. Those are so fun!!!! . . . .If you're looking for some thing more filling than fruit, you could try mini spinach puffs, coconut shrimp, mini stuffed mushrooms and peppers. . . .There's a lot! See what you're friend is already serving and try to compliment that. There may be something that will go well, or that she really wished she had.

Something really different, sweet and fun for the kids is pull apart "Monkey Bread."
It looks great if you bake the bread in a bundt cake pan. Check out the easy recipe at Recipezaar below.

Make a fruit tray with yogurt dip. You can cut up peices of fruit, then put them on skewers and stick them in a pineapple that you cut down the middle and use yogurt for a dip. Its very colorful and tasty! Kinda of like this,...

I like to bring Cru-De-Te because it's really simple.
Just par boil some veggies (boil for a 2 or so minutes, the dunk them in an ice bath); little potatoes, baby carrots, broccoli, etc work well for par boiling.; and arrange them with some raw veggie choices on a platter. Serve them with any creamy dip you like, you can even use straight mayo or aloli . It takes ten minutes to assemble the whole thing and works well to feed people while they mingle.
