Try grilling up something rather exotic. If you want red meat, try grilling lamb chops. They should be cooked medium to medium well.
Season them with satl and pepper before tossing them on the grill. Anything more would make them very tough. When the chops are done, immidiately squeeze a lemon on them and sprinkle some chopped parsley on them.
A vegetable salad goes very nicely with lamb chops. FInd some fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, kalamata olives, green peppers, red onion, and vidallia onions. Chop them all up and toss in a bowl. Season with salt as you toss them. Then pour some extra virgin olive oil and let the salad sit for about an hour then serve.

try making shepards pie its an extremely easy casserole to make and not only does it taste delicious but it looks like it took you all day to make it here is my recipe:
depending on how big your family is this recipe is used for about 4-5 people just double up if you need more!!
1 lb ground beef any kind really, lean or whole doesnt matter much.
1 can campbells cheddar cheese soup
1 box instant mashed potatoes you will need to make a 6 serving portion
1 can veg all vegetable mix i usually use the medium sized can cause i like alot of veggies
directions,
preheat your oven on bake to 350 degrees
brown your hamburger meat, while doing this take out a decent sized tupperware or microwavable bowl open your veg all and DRAIN IT!! then pour it into the bowl open your cheddar cheese soup DO NOT ADD WATER and pour it into the bowl with the veggies mix it well and put it in the microwave for about 1 minute .
by this time your meat should be about done drain it use a square glass casserole dish (or a metal one doesnt matter much but the glass works better imo) a smaller casserole dish makes for better presentation i usually use like an 8x8 or so. spread your meat along the bottom of the pan in an even portion. pour your veggie mix on top of the meat in a layered fashion, DO NOT MIX THE TWO!! next follow the directions on the back of the instant mashed potatoes box to make your potatoes i usually buy the idaho spuds kind it tastes the best imo. remember to make a 6 person serving When the potatoes are ready spread them on the top of the casserole add a little dash of paprika and some salt for tasting and put it in the oven for about 25 minutes or until the edges of the potatoes in your casserole start to get a little brown and you can see the cheese bubbling under the surface. let it sit for a good 15 minutes because it will be very hot and then enjoy!!
i love to make this meal as a mom of two its cheap and its easy to make and my family loves it i am sure yours will too have fun and good luck!!
also if you want to add a desert to this try a mrs smiths apple pie with some vanilla bean ice cream perfect ending to a perfect dinner!!

Use spaghetti or better yet fettuccine noodles (boil as per directions on the bag) but instead of a traditional sauce use canned diced tomatoes (16 oz can), mushrooms (sliced ones from an 8oz jar), grated Parmesan cheese, add basil, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper to taste. Add these all together and heat slowly. Garnish with more Parmesan. If you want to have a meat to add to this get some Italian sausages or premade meatballs, you could even get these in vegetarian if you so chose. Then get a bag of mixed field greens (pre-packaged in the produce section, wash before serving), cherry tomatoes and toss with a olive oil, balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Get a fancy bread or french bread from the local bakery (either in the store or if you have a bakery in town). Slice the bread into median slices and coat with an olive oil, basil, garlic, butter sauce and toast in the oven for about 5-10 minutes. As for dessert get a plain cake from the same bakery and by some raspberry or strawberry puree, and some chocolate sauce, slice the cake into 1 or 1 1/2 thick slices, put them on nice plates and drizzle the puree and chocolate sauce in a decorative way. You could also get a good cheese, slice thin (Gouda, muenster or Havarti) and crackers (a specialty cracker) for everyone to snack on for appetizers.
Hope this helps

Chicken Caciatore..
4 Chicken breasts
2 red peppers
1 onion
some mushrooms if you like them
Saute in large skillet until a little brown with oil.
Add a jar of Ragu, some garlic and cayenne pepper if you want.
Cook until the chicken is done, about 45 minutes.
Meantime cook some spaghetti or linguini, season with grated cheese, butter, and a little milk (makes it an Alfredo sauce) Serve on the side with the chicken.
People love this and it is super easy.
They'll think you are a genius!

My mother created this recipe one day when she was tired the same old, same old. Here is the recipe:
2 lbs of green beans (fresh, canned, or frozen)
5 to 6 medium potatoes cubed
1 large onion, sliced
16 oz of beef broth, or chicken broth
1 lbs of smoked beef sausage, (sliced and the slices halved)
Place green beans and broth into a large pot. Add 1 cup of water. Cover pot and put on a medium-high flame. When the green beans comes to a boil, turn the flame on low. When the green beans are tender, add the potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes. Add the onions and smoked beef sausage. Cook until all vegetables are cooked and the sausage is heated through. Make sure to keep the top on the pot to keep in the vitamins.
Serve this with a piece of cornbread. You can buy a box of Jiffy Mix corn bread to make with it. It makes a nice hardy simple meal.

Lasagna is pretty good. You can buy a good spaghetti sauce and add chopped onions, peppers and a tomato cook it down add cooked ground beef. Boil you noodles and layer it all together with the ricotta and mozzarella cheese and bake it. If you want to you can do all this the night before and the next day bake it. Make a nice salad and have a good bread from the market. They will love it.

I'll never understand those greasy little deep-fried wings most bars serve. Get yourself some he-man-sized chunkers (maybe 4 to 6 to a pound), grill or broil them intact, and eat the tips -- all skin and cartilage and delicious. --
Tom Douglass's Hot-Pepper Wings with Cilantro Sour Cream:
Serves: 6 (18 large wings)
Prep time: 15 minutes
Marinating time: at least 1 hour
Cooking time: About 20 minutes
For wings:
* 18 whole chicken wings
* 2 cups soy sauce
* 1 cup Dijon mustard
* 1 cup water
* 3/4 cup Tabasco sauce
* 1/4 cup garlic, chopped
* 2 tbsp fresh Italian parsley, chopped
* 2 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
* 2 tsp fresh sage, chopped
* 2 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped
For the cilantro sour cream:
* 1/2 cup sour cream
* 2 tbsp heavy cream
* 2 tsp chopped cilantro
* Kosher or coarse salt
* Ground black pepper
To make wings: Whisk all ingredients except wings together in a large bowl. Reserve 1/2 cup of the marinade for basting and sauce.
Add wings to bowl with marinade, cover, and refrigerate at least 1 hour or up to overnight. Turn occasionally to make sure wings are thoroughly marinated.
Caution: Never use a "raw" marinade -- any marinade that has had raw meat in it -- to finish a dish. That's why we set some aside in this recipe.
Grill method: Remove wings and discard marinade. Grill wings over medium-low coals, turning often, until wings cook through, about 15 minutes. You want the wings to cook slowly so they cook thoroughly before the glaze burns.
While grilling, heat reserved marinade in saucepan and baste wings a few times while cooking. Cut into one of the wings to make sure no pink remains near the bone and remove.
Broiler method: Remove wings and discard marinade. Put wings in a broiler pan under a preheated broiler, 4 inches from heat source, and broil about 10 minutes per side. (If your broiler has a low setting, use that, otherwise watch carefully so the glaze doesn't burn.) Heat reserved marinade in saucepan and baste wings a few times while cooking. Cut into one of the wings to make sure there is no pink remaining near the bone and remove.
To make cilantro sour cream: In a small bowl, mix first three ingredients together. Salt and pepper to taste. Yields 1/2 cup.
To serve: Top wings with 1 tsp of warm reserved marinade. Don't use more than a drizzle, though -- it's really strong. Serve whatever is left on the side for heat lovers. Serve with cilantro sour cream.

Chicken breast baked in orange juice and a spoon of curry mixed in. Add some quartered red potatoes. You can get a box of Rice a roni chicken flavor. Canned sweet corn Mixed with canned sweet peas. Can of cranberry sauce.
Marinate chicken in olive oil salt pepper and minced garlic for about two hours. Remove from marinade add about 1/2 cup of orange juice in which you mixed like a spoon (or more or less of curry power) then bake in oven covered with foil for about 2 hours at 350 degrees on the middle rack. remove foil about the last 1/2, baste with the juice in the pan, you may add addtional stock (chicken stock, water) to ensure you have liquid in the pan. When you serve put corn/peas mixture partically over rice so that way you won't need gravy. slice up or cut up canberry sauce (jellied)......it's the best and it's easy.
