Condoms definitely HELP prevent the spread of the virus, but they are not 100% effective in preventing HPV or any other STD.
Since the condom only covers the penis and not the entire genital area it's still possible to spread HPV (the virus that causes genital warts). HPV can be spread by DIRECT skin to skin contact with the infected area. So, just the rubbing back and forth of the genital areas during sex is enough to spread by virus, even if the warts are being covered by the condom.
He should really get the warts treated if he can. He can STILL spread the virus though, even if he gets the warts removed. Just because the warts are removed doesn't necessarily mean the virus (HPV) is gone. There is NO cure for HPV.
Also, you might want to look into getting the vaccine Gardasil. It protects women from four different kinds of HPV. Two of those kinds are known to cause 70% of cervical cancer cases and the other two kinds are known to cause 90% of genital wart cases. Just ask your doctor about it! Good luck!

Absolutely not ! I would question his priority if he expects you to have unprotected sex with him at all given the fact he has genital warts. No sex without a condom for him.Otherwise, start learning about genital warts and prepare your own little speech to tell someone you have genital warts. It's never a bad thing to want to take care of and protect yourself. Learn from this....if the warts had not shown up just now...maybe you would have already had unprotected sex with him....then what? Never have unprotected sex with anyone unless you intend to be with that person FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. Good luck.

I really wouldnt. Most are usally on the skin and the inner legs ect ect...Some could have already started to spread with out poping out first. It wont take long with medications for them to go away.
Women can get them in side and have to have them removed by a operation. And could cause problems giving birth.Good luck on your choice.Or call your local heath unit or doctor and ask.

No, a condom wont completely protect you. If I were you, I wouldn't do it. You'll have to live with it for the rest of your life.
