Our office had a "casino party". Dinner, dancing, casino games, prizes. You used the money you won to buy chances. Each prize had a bag in front of it to throw your ticket in and they drew the winners about an hour before the party was over. Also drew for $50 every hour.

The most fun Christmas parties our former office ever had included a Talent Show. Since the staff were broken up into teams, each team had to come up with a show stopper, as well as something to auction at the end of the entertainment. The funds raised by the auction were donated to charity. We laughed and cried at the creativeness and humor in the acts presented and we all have wonderful memories to cherish in the years since.

why not have everyone in the office adopt the local National Guard unit for christmas. Have a party for them. Serve them dinner, put on a show for them and then give each member a gift.

why don't you guys go on a cruise? or go rock climbing? have a bbq during the afternoon (or go to a bbq joint) and then everyone go skating or to the batting cages--or PAINT BALLING!

or have a pot luck lunch--and then take the afternoon off to volunteer at a soup kitchen (tis the season...)

I would take the day off so I would not have to go.

Our office people are bitchy.

Don't have one, that would be the biggest surprise of all.
