I used a generic over the counter product that didn't seem to do anything. Is there a specific brand that seems to work better than others? Could I have something else going on down there?

Visit your doctor and get some anti fungal medication like Fluconazole (brand name Diflucan). If the yeast infection is really bad your doctor might recommend repeating the dose.

You can also go to the store and buy some yogurt. It's not going to cure a yeast infection, but it can help. Yogurt contains live culture in it which can help with a yeast infection.

You might also have something else going on down there which you would need to see a doctor for to properly diagnose you. Good luck!

Maybe your doc will phone in a prescription for DIFLUCAN. It's a one dose treatment for yeast infections. However if you've never had one before they'll probably want you to come in. Also try some of the monistat creams they have available OTC to help with the symptoms.
Cool baths help too, and wear cotton underwear. No tight clothing.
Remember your partner could be the one infecting you. Men typically don't have the symptoms the ladies have.

Ask your pharmacist for fluconazole 150mg capsule, one should do the trick, but I am not sure if you can buy it over the counter in your country, some places you can, some you can't. If not just ask your GP to give you a script. Remember, although not a STD, if you are sexually active you could be reinfected by your partner, so he should be treated as well. If this is a recurrent problem, ask your GP to do a random glucose test, you might have diabetes that puts you at a higher risk for contracting yeast infections than normal people. Hope this helps!

I'd have to say DIFLUCAN and agree with the lady above---no creams or applicators or messes---just 1 pill....
