Was raised in a catholic family, third generation Italian. I expanded on other religious ideas around the age of 13 and have been doing so since...at age 22 now. I guess I'd say I'm agnostic =) I don't dispute too much in religious texts as it does no good to point out the contradictions in these cases. I've learned to try and find the best interpretation out of anything I read that is deemed holy and if I don't, I leave it alone for someone else. A base of what I've learned is we're all one god. We just live separate from each other in linear reality. I think it was deepak chopra who said god didn't create the universe, but he became it! In that case we aren't islands of god strewn in black void of space - we are peninsulas reaching out waiting to become aware of our infinite connections.

Are you trying to poll to see how many vegans and vegetarians are Christian? I wish there were more accurate surveys done on the vegan population..as far as age, sex, location, religion, job, income, and duration of lifestyle. Would be interesting to see the results =)

I am Agnostic, but I have studied the Bible and it does mention that Adam and Eve did not consume any animals.

According to the Bible, it was during the flood, that God allowed Noah to eat animals since no plants were anywhere to be found This is supposed to be a temporary arrangement that is still in place today, but after Armageddon, mankind will go back to Vegetarianism and all animals will also become plant eaters again as they were in the original Paradise.

I was raised a baptist and now I am a Buddhists. I think along the same lines as the "real" Vegan Conscript. I don't think my belief is the one right one and that everyone else is wrong. Oh, and I'm vegan also.
