We are a very small group and our admin is retiring from the company after 22 years. Anyone have any ideas on a low cost party? A theme maybe? Any surprises? Not sure what direction to take this in as I have never had to plan this type of party before.

does this person have a favorite type of food? You can do a Mexican Fiesta, or a Hawaiian Luau, possibly Italian or Mediterranean themes. Go to the party store see what options are there for decorations and go from there.
If your trying to save money.. Ask people to pot luck.

Do you want to have the party at your office or at some other location. How many people are involved. Is it a small enough number you can take everyone out to lunch on her last day at a nice restaruant? Or schedule dinner after office hours say at 6:30 pm, and then go to a comedy club afterwards. It really depends on what the person enjoys and what kind of group you all are. There are a lot of options.

have a theme like fancy dress, have good food , give lots of prezzies, and have a good time, hope this answers your question
