Absolutely.
And there is no reason why it would be inadvisable to become pregnant if you have herpes (if you *want* to become pregnant, that is). As with some other STDS, notably genital warts, there may be an issue of the virus being passed on to the baby during a vaginal delivery, and a cesarean section might be warranted.

Yes, there isn't any. Herpes is caused by a virus. Actually, there is little cure for viruses nowadays. The only thing that you can generally do in the case of a viral infection is strengthen the immune system and hope it fights it off. Not with Herpes, the immune system can't win against it. Thus you only get to treat the symptoms. Once you're infected, it stays with you for life. So don't get infected.
Personal experience. I have had genital herpes for over 5 years.

Yes... I am currently pregnant and have herpes. I didn't find out until a few weeks ago that I even had herpes. You can only pass the disease on to your baby if it passes through the birth canal while you are having an out break. I have chosen to have a c-section although at 36 weeks they can give you an anti-viral medication to suppress any outbreak that you may have during delivery. When I found out of course I was devastated. I went in for a normal routine check up expecting to hear the baby's heart beat and for the doc to tell me everything was fine and that's not what I got. Its not the end of the world you can carry all of your children fine and not worry about giving anything to your baby. Good luck to you sweetie!

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/treatmentHERPES2015JZtQ
Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

There is always the risk of passing herpes to their partner when they have sex and there is a risk of passing herpes to the baby during delivery. It's extremely rare to be born with herpes though and can be avoided completely by having a C-section delivery if the mother is having an outbreak at the time of delivery.

I've had herpes for 3 years---when I was infected my partner had no signs or symptoms of an outbreak---and I'm 14 weeks pregnant---and you don't need a c-section---only if you are having an outbreak at the time of labor and delivery----and to avoid that your doctor will probably put you on valtrex about 2 weeks before you deliver just to make sure you don't have one-----if people with HIV can have babies---then anybody with an STD can....good luck!

Yes... Of course.
You will not give it to your baby....
In fact the thought of giving it to your baby is almost unheard of. Your doctor will give you a c-section if at the time of delivery you are experiencing a outbreak or symptoms.
Good Luck!
P.s. There is nothing wrong with having Herpes and having children. Some people don't know what they are talking about. It is not a bad idea.

Yes, I have it and have a 12 year and 9 year old. The Doctor MUST know, more than likely you'll get a c-section and definately if you have a sore at the time of delivery, it can be passed to the child and can cause brain damage and blindeness to the newborn. Both of my children are healthy, I had both of them vaginally but also didn't have any outbreaks..luckily, the entire time I was pregnant.

Cold sores are caused by the herpes virus. Many of us already have the cold sore virus dormant in our bodies, and never have a flare up of cold sores. We contracted it as children, as it is a very common virus, and children pick it up easily as they often share food and drinks, and may be less concerned about hand washing and hygiene. Cold sores can be transmitted even when the person does not have a cold sore, though it is less likely to happen then.
remember that you can remove genital warts by surgery, freezing, laser, acid or cream but genital warts can reappear again and again because genital warts appears when your immune system is weak!
I got diagnosed with herpes type 2 about seven years ago, when I was still in college and had a stupid one-night stand. However, Not only was I able to remove all traces of the herpes virus from my system in less than three weeks, but I was also able to start dating again!

Yes. You'll want your doctor to know you have herpes b/c if you have an active outbreak when delivery time comes, you'll need to have a c-section so that you won't pass herpes to your child.
