Why not rent one of those blow up slide things those are always a good addition to a party

All-girl party? How about a "spa" themed party - with pedicures and manicures and facials and such. Even see if the Merle Norman store (or other good makeup store - or makeup rep like Mary Kay) could do makeovers for you and 5 of your closest friends...
Boy-Girl party? Hmm. Gosh. It all depends on what your friends are in to - like if they're into theater - then schedule acting lessons from the local college drama department - or if you're into sports - maybe a gym-centered party - as in at the local college's sports department - get really good work-out tips from the fitness coach -
Or you all could go for a "day at the farm" theme and go to a pick-your-own strawberry farm - and pick strawberries for a couple of hours, then come back home and eat strawberry shortcake and make strawberry ice cream. Then the records and movies. OK so it's corny - but that kind of activity can be a lot of fun, too. Parental approved activity, too...
OK so how about something altruistic. Helping others is not a bad way to spend part of your birthday... Maybe your friends are into green - so volunteer with the local parks department or city officials - and pick up trash for a couple of hours - and then the music and movies... How about volunteering to serve lunch at a soup kitchen - remind you of how the other half lives. Or Habitat for Humanity - or some other volunteer organization for the afternoon.

Try something ethnic, if you are tired of the same old restaurants, eat somewhere new, or a type of food you haven't yet tried. Maybe you should bring a lot of friends or family with you. To go along with the ethnic food, try ethic music when you get home. If this doesn't sound like a good idea, try an amusement park.

try throwing a themed party like the '50's or Hawaiian try shindigz.com they have alot of ideas and supplies
