I have an issue. I have been a Veg for almost two years now and I love it. I feel great. My issue is that I love vegetables so much that I'd rather eat them than eat fruit. I hate anything sweet, so I find most fruit is too sweet for my taste, including apples and oranges. Could this be making me unhealthy? I usually drink two glasses of orange juice a day with added vitamin E and A, but other than that, I have no fruit intake.

If you could tell me a good fruit substitute or a drink that I could have a glass of to get my full fruit serving a day, I'd be greatly. I know I'm missing out.

You can try Boathouse and Naked beverages that contain fruit but have spinach, spirulina and beet juice added. They are not as sweet as regular juices. You can also try organic fruit bars. You're probably doing just fine, but if you have concerns just try one of these items.

Yes, you do need fruit, There are vitamins and carbs there that you really need. The orange juice is good, but I'd say you could blend a banana, an apple, a kiwi, strawberries, a peach, melon etc, whatever is available, and mix it with the orange juice. yummy!

You're fine, don't worry about it.

I eat very little fruit and have been veggie for 27 years. At most i eat 2 pieces of fruit in a week and i've been fine for 27 years - no supplements and never ill.

Both are important. If you're drinking juice, that's good. Keep trying fruits that are more tart, like pineapple. Or try other juices, like pomegranate. Take a multivitamin.

fruit is very important, as it is loaded with nutrients.

i suggest investing in a good juicer and juicing your fruits along with veggies (apple-carrot-celery juice is pretty tasty).

fresh juice is much more nutritious than canned or bottled. if you keep eating your veggies you won't have to worry about not getting enough fiber.
