Recycling aluminium saves 95% of the energy cost of processing new aluminium. One recycled glass bottle could generate the power needed for a whole house for a day. Powerful knowledge if used right.

I find from experience that education at a young age can help people understand the importance of recycling and how to do so. I personally work for a youth program that hosted this years recycling day and found that a majority of the children have held onto habits of recycling, not only do they recycle but they also pressure peers to do the same for example if myself or another child were to not recycle a bottle, they would express there feelings about the act and ask why we are not recycling.

The state had mandated that counties decrease the quantity of waste going into the landfills and each county has made its very own policies approximately the thank you to try this--maximum have chosen recycling classes. The state does charge a redemption charge on each and every recyclable beverage field you purchase, this encourages the guy to recycle as a manner to get better a number of that value via recycling those containers at redemption centers.

First of all everyone needs to be aware of the importance of recycling. Make the people understand how recycling effects them and thier family. What resources are saved and used to recycle. Make it a part of learning in the public schools, children will educate thier parents.

Get the word out to everyone, offer solutions to the public, the public will respond

Starting the education as soon as possible is a must... and it needs to continue throughout the schooling. I feel like the education about our environment and how to protect it kind of fizzles out around 3rd grade and really doesn't pick back up until high school or college even. It needs to be an ongoing lesson that changes with our everchanging planet. Not just some cute lesson plan that might get your class's picture in the local paper.

Apartments should provide recycle bins for residents. All employers should provide bins for workers to throw in recycling. Communities as a whole should provide better recycling programs in schools, parks, sidewalks, any place were people gather.

I wish I knew. I'm in Ft Worth TX and no one even acknowledges it, except occasionally to say something along the lines of 'The Ice Age was completely natural'.
As if that negates anything or helps out at all.

Edit: I think I'll check ouyt the freecycle.org site. Maybe write/email a letter to the mayor. See if they are doing anything and I've missed it somehow...
