Yes. There are three kinds of lice that infest humans:
1. Head lice. These are most common in children.

2. Body lice. These actually live in folds of clothing, attach to the back and sides to feed, then go back into the clothing. They are most common in the homeless.

3. Pubic lice ("crabs"). Pubic lice may also infest coarsely-haired areas, such as beards, moustaches, and eyebrows. They can also infest the scalp around the ears and the back of the neck.

Lice may be treated with an over-the-counter shampoo. The shampoo should not be used around the eye area. Bedding and towels used by the infested person should be washed in very hot water for the longest cycle on the washing machine, then dried in the hottest dyer setting for at least 20 minutes.

oh my god YES! i had to take a greyhound bus a few months ago and ended up w/body lice. my husband and i both used the lice shampoo three times and they kept coming back then one day i found one on his chest fur. (he's a hairy guy) so we had to shampoo one more time and he had to do his whole body. finally took care of it. fortunately he doesn't wear a beard. shave it or use lice shampoo on it!
