I think you mean doxycycline 100mg.

Doxycycline is an antibiotic used to treat and cure a number of different bacterial infections.

Since you put this in the STD section I'm guessing you want to know what STDs it treats. Doxycycline can treat and cure chlamydia and gonorrhea.

Anytime a antibiotic is used it is possible to develop a yeast infection. Yeast infections are commonly caused by taking antibiotics. If a person does develop a yeast infection from taking antibiotics all they need to do is get a prescription from their doctor for some anti-fungal medication like fluconazole (brand name Diflucan).

Good luck!

Doxycycline is a Tetracycline derivative antibiotic that is used to treat a very wide variety of bacterial infections. It is available in tablet, capsule, and liquid form, and as with most (not all) antibiotics, its very possible to interfere with birth control. Many antibiotics, including Doxycycline, also can cause yeast infections when taking them. Its not uncommon. If you are prone to develop yeast infections while on antibiotics, tell your doctor. They will often write a separate prescription for Diflucan (fluconazole) when prescribing an antibiotic.

Doxycycline is a tetracycline antibiotic. It fights bacteria in the body. As with most antibiotics, yes, it can cause a yeast infection. You mean Doxycycline??? Doxycycline is a medication normally given after an abortion. It is a strong antibiotic that prevents infection of the uterus. Doxycycline is so effective, it's actually even been used to treat bubonic plague (the infectors of it)! It won't cause a yeast infection, but it can interfere with birth control.
