Actually I bet they did have to teach you how to eat steak.
I have raised 2 children & helped with 4 grandchildren..none of them liked "meat". It is an aquired taste, then an addiction.
On being Vegan the SAD(Standard American Diet) gives guidelines to eatting it's poor choices, there allot of PR happening. So when a person becomes Veggie or Vegan(Different) they have nothing main stream to follow to stay healthy. Also many have fallen to The Protien Myth, that is promoted under SAD. It makes them fearful of not eatting healthy & becoming ill.

I don't believe I've ever heard a vegan say they ate that way because it's more "natural". One could say that any type of diet is "natural" since the majority of what anyone eats comes from nature.
If you had been raised vegan and decided to begin eating meat, you may not need to be taught how to eat it but you would surely need some education on preparing it, storing it and what is best to eat along with it.

I never needed help being vegan. It was overnight for me, too, and I've never felt healthier in my life. And. . .oh, my gosh, get this. . .

it was easy.

I don't have asthma anymore, don't feel sluggish anymore, have tons more energy, and don't get sick anymore. I used to get sick around twice a year. No more. I just feel much more healthy. I'm sure partially because my food isn't rotting inside me having a hard time passing through my intestines. A human's intestines, like any herbivore, is 11 times their body length. Carnivore's intestines are very short. How do you think colon cancer starts? And that teeth comparison up above is crap. To compare anatomy, check this out:

And while you're at it, try not to judge if you either haven't read up or you haven't experienced something for yourself. :)

It is a wierd thing man. I grew up on fast food and steak and that kind of thing. But then I educated myself on what I was eating after I saw a few peta videos. Watch the video meet your meat on youtube.

that is over 10 years old though. They have better pamphlets and things now. KFC is the most disgusting thing you can eat.

So,you never had to learn how to cook a steak? You were raised by meat eating parents,so you probably learned from them.I'm sure if a kid was raised by vegan parents, then they probably wouldn't need to learn how to be vegan either.

Actually someone did teach you to eat steak - your parents. If your parents are vegan, vegetarian, etc. then you'll have to be "taught" to eat steak.

Because if you try to eat out anywhere it is nearly impossible to order anything without any animal products in it. It is quite sad how many things have animal products in them. It is just a new lifestyle you have to get used to it. And I'm sure you parent did teach you to eat steak.
