what is a good vegatable or fruit that cleanses the colon??..i want too become a vegatarian but i want too clear my colon of nasty yucky stuff and be clear for a freash start does anyone know something that might help?

prunes, maybe spinach, but prunes should do it.

I know what will be really good to clear out toxic in your body, going on a juice fast for 3 days! Get yourself a great juicer and only use organic fruits or veggies. Drink fresh fruit and veggies all day for 3 days!

Stewed prunes will do the job along with providing a lot of vitamins. Prune juice of course will help. Both togather are guaranteed to rid your system of that yucky stuff.

OK, all those natural remedies are great, but my Naturopath put me onto the best cleanser, to cleanse my system before putting all the good stuff back in.... It is called 'Fleet', and is available from over the counter at selected pharmacies. It is under $10, and REALLY cleanses you out. They ask patients to take it before performing colonoscopies.

Hi rung, almost ALL vegetarian/vegan food has good fiber which cleanses our colon and do a whole lot of more great things for our health to continue to work smoothly. :o)

Also, lots of WATER - fresh, pure and christaline!!! Adela

Well it's not a veggie or fruit, but coffee works for me, haha. Anything high in fiber will work, like most beans,popcorn, green leafy veggies, and definitely high fiber cereals like Oat Bran or Fiber one. If you get the cereal, make sure not to eat a ton at one time! you'll regret it later! haha. Good luck in your transition, make sure you get enough vitamins and protein and whatnot :)

I just recently became a veggie-saurus (as my roommate calls it lol) and one thing that works for me is a HUGE glass of apple juice. It's a natural laxative. Works wonders!

Too much Vitamin "C" works WONDERS on me... So does a couple of glasses of Apple Cider... But everybody's System is different- so you might have to experiment alittle...

Any fibrous fruits or veggies can help wash you out. Broccoli is one example of a veggie containing fiber.
