No, because your intention was not to eat the meat.

I have been a vegetarian for many years. However, I was recently on vacation, and ordered a vegetarian omelet at a restaurant. After I took two bites, I realized that there was some chicken in the omelet! I was horrified, and the restaurant immediately made me a new omelet and didn't charge me for my meal, but I felt terrible about it. I only accidentally ate a very tiny amount of chicken (it tasted awful, and I used to love chicken, by the way).

Anyway, don't beat yourself up about it. You are doing the right thing, and the animals and universe will appreciate you for it! Good luck!

Please don't feel bad about something that wasn't intentional. It's happened to me too, especially when I first became vegetarian. I would feel upset & disgusted but the only thing to do was to just try harder to avoid this mishap.
A few years back, a favorite restraunt suddenly changed its policy & began using lard in the beans (which they weren't doing previously). We felt disgusted & our waitress apologized profusely. Now if I haven't been to a particular place to eat in awhile, I research it *before* we go so this kind of thing has much less of a chance to happen.
Congratulation & good luck on making the decision to be vegetarian.

Dont feel bad if it was an accident. Just do your best to not eat that stuff nothing you can do about accidents in the past.

please though if you do decide to eat meat occasionally (bend the rules as the first poster said) don't refer to yourself as vegetarian

Don't feel too bad about it. You've just started being a vegetarian, you're bound to slip up in the beginning.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Learning to be a vegetarian takes time. Don't expect to succeed over night. Just keep working at it. Good luck!

I wouldn't feel bad about it. Give yourself a chance, you've only just started, things will get better and easier as time goes on.
