You can't tell or ask someone to quiti smoking...they already know how bad smoking is. Everybody knows that. It has to be up to him/her on whether they will quit.

In order for quitting smoking to work, the smoker has to want to quit themslves, or it just won't work. You could talk to this person, and let them know why you are concerned about their smoking, because you care. Tell them, when they are ready to quit, you will be there to support them and give encouragement. Make sure you follow through on your promise too! If you go about it this way, and let them decided when they're ready to quit, they'll be less likely to be defensive about it. They'll know that you care and will be there for them, when they are ready. Good Luck!

if you really love someone you will talk to them about their smoking and tell them about all the benifits they will reap from not smoking. Explain to them what can happen if they keep smoking. Most people that smoke are aware of others whom have died from smoking but they always think this won,t happen to me. You have to let them know that it can. my Father died from lung cancer and it was a drawed out slow tortuous death. I,ll never forget the stench of the cancer that oozed from the drainage tubes in his back where the lungs are located. The very smell of death. I smoked at the time and after a while I realised that I didn,t want to die like this. my dad was a strong man that was alwas 220 pounds and used to be a pro wrestler, he died weighing a mere 105 pounds. Explain to your friend its like playing russian roulette.

You can't stop for another person, sorry. Saying about it - at least several times - will only annoy the smoking person. Just don't stay indoors where someone is smoking, and always prevent smoking where there are children.

Hi, you could ask them to quit, but most times the more we ask or tell them to the more they won't. Best thing is to just explain how much they mean to you and that you care about thier health. Then let it go! God Bless

Your best bet is just not to let them smoke around you or in your car or house. People will do what they want to do

Smoking is not required for the body to exists and it's not necessary so tell them to their face that you don't like it and it bothers you. If they don't quit, excuse yourself and go home, you don't need that disrespect.
