I started using a perfumed shower gel and devleoped a sore on my labia minoria. It went after a few days. I started using it again and another sore appeared. Again went after a few days. Could this just be the shower gel? Im going to the gyno to get tested anyway

I don't think its herpes like somebody here says. It's only irritation. You could be allergic or not cleaning it down well. Avoid cleaning your area with that, use a mild soap or only water, you should be fine. But just to be sure go to your doctor and get checked and ask the professional.

Its likely that the gel is irritation your vagina. Its good that your still going to the gyno, because it could be aggravating an already existing condition.

That sounds more like an STD rather a perfumed shower gel complication...Ive never heard of an ACTUAL sore appearing with use of a soap...just possible infection/irritation. Its good youare going to see a doc. goodluck*

You should only use water to wash down there.. and a top tip is if you use some sensitive hair removal cream down there put some tissue paper to cover the clitoris, you wont get no smell, no dread locks and nothing bungy jumping!!

I use shower gel with no problems. It sounds like a minor herpes breakout.

it very well could be, maybe it's not getting rinsed out all the way and because it has more chemicals in it it is causing problems.
