cats ABSOLUTELY Need taurine to survive., and that can ONLY be found in meat.
PLEASE for the sake of your animal's health and well being, do NOT force him to go against nature's intent and force him to go vegan.

I did research when I was thinking about becoming a vegan (been one for over a month now). The sites I went to said that you can successfully put a dog on a vegan diet but not cats. In their experience (they did a study), the cats stopped eating. They did not recommend putting your cat on a vegan diet because cats are naturally carnivores. (And like I said, when they tried it, the cats stopped eating). Do the research.

Wow, you relatively love him, don`t you. But simply as you admire him, so he's going to admire you. I understand a a long time vegan, married to a meat eater. No disorders, they only admire every others loose option. They kiss and all. You are being concerned and thoughtful and candy. He will love you for the ones traits. Bet he thinks your lips style candy it doesn't matter what you placed on them.

Don't be an idiot. Cats and dogs are supposed to eat meat, that's what they do in the wild. Don't try to force your beliefs on a nice, helpless cat. Cats won't eat all of this soy crap that vegans eat so don't make them try.

No one on here or any vegan I know has ever argued that no animal should eat meat, we are just talking about ourselves. Which vegan is pushing you to make you angry enough to be on here arguing within the facts?

How absurd. If you look at the difference between Mr. Abersnackles teeth and your own, you will see that he is clearly meant to eat meat, with a mouthful of canine teeth. Furthermore, he has the skills, claws, and ability to catch his own prey. Can you do the same with you two tiny "canine" incisor teeth, or is it clear that your body is better designed for gardening, with your imposable thumb, perfect for picking fruits and veggies? Could you go out and take down a cow with just your bare hands, and consume it raw? I would hazzard a guess that Mr. Abersnackle could survive in the wild perfectly fine. Humans only eat meat because it is so readily available. There would be loads more vegetarians if we had to hunt and kill our own prey. But, you seem pretty closed minded to all who think differently than you do, so no doubt its pointless to point out the obvious

I'm not a vegan and I just wanted to give my thoughts on your cat being forced to change his eating habits. Animals can't speak up for themselves and are therefore at the mercy of the people who "own" them. If your cat could speak, he might perhaps NOT choose 2b forced into this diet ur proposing 4 him. There are pros and cons of any issue. I understand that, but try to think in terms how how he might want to live the remaining times of his life. Thank you.

if you want Mr. Abersnakle to live long, you have to remember that humans and cats don't have the same food pyramids. If you don't feed him any meat he won't be healthy enough to live long. The way I see it, only people can become vegan and animals who are herbivores.

If you love animals you will NOT make your cat be vegan. Cats will lose their eyesight on a vegan diet. Please, please, please do not do this to your cat. It is animal abuse to not give an animal the diet it needs. Unless he is a skilled hunter and catches rats and birds to supplement his diet, your cat will become very sick if you give him a vegan diet.
