I have had a slight case of varicose veins on my lower left leg for many years with no detrimental effects. An ultrasound & blood test show that I have deep vein blood clots. Hematologist says I should take Enoxaparin 80 mg subcutaneously every 12 hrs. for the rest of my life.

Am interested in possible differing opinions as well as those that agree.

If you've seen a Hematologist and he/she has recommended Lovenox, then you've got a hypercoagulable disorder that makes you prone to blood clots. Not being on an anticoagulant greatly increases your risk of stroke, loss of a limb or death.

I am a bit surprised that warfarin (an oral anti-coagulant) isn't suggested, but the hematologist is the expert on clotting problems and I'd go with the recommendation.

You varicose veins likely had little to do with the problem, as they are superficial, not deep veins. However, clots in the superficial veins can, over time, cause varicose veins.

When I turned 28 I already had been in pain, embarrassed, and scared of becoming pregnant. I didn't want my big blue varicose veins to get worse. The All Natural Varicose & Spider Vein Solution program was an easy read and easy to do. Within 21 days there was a big difference in how my legs looked and I can wear shorts without feeling embarrassed. I feel so much better with more energy and for giving me back a healthier body, and the legs that a 28 year old should have.

Naturally heal your veins?

I had the same diagnosis about 5 months ago and have been taking medication. My G P also recommended Surgery to remove the veins so that the problem is removed. I am due to have surgery on 17th July. Id ask your GP if this is possible for you aswell as once Ive had it done i don't need to take the medication any longer. Good luck and all the best X

Ayurveda has an excellent solution that functions as a metabolic stabiliser and dissolves soft blocks and blood vessel stiffness and inflammation that leads to DVT - Deep vein Thrombosis; the condition you describe.

I have used SUVED Ayurvedic formulation available from the website: www.helthsolns.com
and am amazed with the overall improvement in my health.

My Doc cannot explain... alopathy does not have a solution, treatment is lifelong and the disease progresses in-spite of medication as these medicine act only on the outcome of your disease (clot/thrombus formation) not on the root cause of the disease.
I am happy after 4 months of treatment.... and I will take it again after a few years if required..... the side effects are a more enthusiastic life I lead.
I'm happy, yu too can be.. !

Yes, I agree, but do find out why as there are many clotting disorders of the blood. I am on Warfarin for life, and it is harder to control than the injections, but that would be your only other option at this point. Best wishes to you. Here is a link to blood clotting disorders.

What ever it takes.
If a clot breaks loose and reaches your lungs, you won't have to worry any longer.

Agree. Please, take the medication. If a clot breaks loose and travels to your lungs this will be a pulmonary embolism (50% death rate).
