Is she taking any medications for her hypertension? Some of these drugs cause low BP and low pulse rate

You do not need a pacemaker, and your blood pressure and heart rate are just fine. Not to worry at all, unless you've experienced a significant drop recently. My guess is that this has been your baseline for some time, and so it's normal for you. It's a little low, but absolutely NOT TO WORRY. I also would not recommend deliberately eating more salt, without checking with your doctor, who knows your whole health history. You sound like you would not have to restrict salt at all, but not really necessary to add it either. Since you didn't mention any other conditions, I'm assuming otherwise you are healthy as far as you know. A thyroid check is a good idea. If your diastolic blood pressure drops down into the 40's I'd go to the doctor, but I personally would not even go at 48-49 if that was my baseline. Below that, well, yes...I'd go. Probably a good idea just to go get a physical anyway.

pulse rate in the 45 to 60 range is called bradycardia in some people this is normal. i have seen people with hypertension under treatment get reading of as low as 100/60

do not worry if it does not cause dizzyness or light headedness
and they do not pass out.

as long as there are no problems the lower the better.

A friend had the same problem. She's had a mini stroke causing blood to leak into her brain. The doctors couldn't tell when the stoke occurred or if it was still a threat. She didn't have insurance so she couldn't continue getting answers.
