No, I also hav hsv1 genitally, my boyfriend has it orally (I caught it form him giving me oral sex). We have unprotected sex, the chance of him getting it genitally when he has had it orally for so long are very slim and we avoid outbreaks.
He can't get it orally when he already has it orally. There is nothing to worry about there whatsoever. Just have fun. Similarly there is no problem with him giving it to you genitally through oral sex, you can't catch the same virus genitally again, because you already have it there.

If he has the same virus, the herpes simplex virus type 1, then he can not get it from you again. About a month after contracting the virus, you become immune to it- meaning that you can not get it again. If he had HSV2 and you HSV1 then it is possible for him to get it but it would be unlikely. yes he can get oral herpes and then if he kisses you, you can get it in your mouth also. Because it is possible to pass herpes even with treatment.
