you should be concerned for her health and be there for her. cancer is a serious issue and she needs someone that will stay by her side.

It's incredibly common, and it's nothing to worry about. The girlfriend is doing the right thing by telling the boyfriend, but it's not a big deal. Now, most forms of HPV *do* affect both genders, but I would just talk about it and get the facts - and thank her for bringing such honesty and respect to the relationship.

It's common, but you don't want to spread it later or keep reinfecting her every time you have sex so please use a barrier contraceptive method such as condems or diaphrams. Also, if she has a high risk HPV, she has an increased risk of getting cervical cancer (if she is not getting annual pap smears) and you also have a 1% chance of getting penile cancer.

For starters it doesn't only affect females..
Males can develop anal cancer from the HPV.

be careful its the fastest growing std out there it can go away for some people be careful though call ur doc or visit a free clinc for info and don' always take a girlfriends word witha n std go with her to her doc and ask them qustions too but be safe

Well, she already gave it to you so you both have it. She should get the vaccine and you should keep an eye on your prize to make sure you don't develop those nasty things.
