I mean, if you value the life of animals and all living things, you would definitely be against abortion, right? Please no rude comments. I am genuinely curious.

If the two have nothing to do with one another, please elaborate.

I have been informed that the term I should have used is "vegans" instead of vegetarians. Apologies.

Well, based on your question the two don't have anything to do with each other because vegetarianism defines a person's diet. If you had said vegans instead, then it would be relevant. Vegan-ism is a way of life, not just encompassing ones diet. Personally I believe in every living beings right to live, and therefore do not condone abortion or the slaughter of animals for food.

I am vegetarian and totally prochoice.

I believe that there are already plenty of unwanted children in this world. Who would pro life legislation effect? Not the rich or middle class, but the poor, young, etc.

What would happen to all these children. I believe there would be an increase in child abuse, possibly the reintroduction of orphanages. I think it is tragic enough that many children grow up in foster homes without parents, and eventually end up aging out of the system. In a way I think pro-choice is pro-life, I am for the children already born into this world that live without the security and love of a family. We need to fix these problems first.

What I find hypocritical is the pro-lifers. How many people that are prolife have adopted African American babies, sick, drug addicted babies, mentally/physically handicapped, etc. Not many, I also find it interesting that people in America will go all the way to China to adopt a healthy white baby instead of adopting an African American baby in the United States.

Vegetarians and vegans etc.. don't eat animals for many different reasons.
I for One am not the 'save the animals' type of Vegetarian. Thats not why I don't eat it. I don't eat meat because I don't find eating a bloody, dead animal in anyway 'yummy'.

As for abortion, I'm fully 100% pro-choice.
I don't believe it's murder so much as it's killing something no bigger then a pea, with no knowledge or feeling up until a certain point. They normally draw the line at Fourteen weeks. Although, it has been known to happen after this point.
I don't see how you have logic comparing something with no feelings and as much life as a tomato,
to a living, breathing, feeling animal in the first place. 0.o

i don't think that these two things can really be compared. i am a vegetarian and i am pro choice. choosing not to eat meat and choosing to abort an undeveloped fetus are totally different things.

some people are vegetarians for different reasons as well. Some do it for their own health, they are against the animal cruelty that occurs when animals are being prepared to be killed, they believe that animals have the right to live or for environmental reasons.

a person could choose not to eat meat for their own well- being and have an abortion for the same reason.

I was pro-life before I was vegan, but I do think for some people it makes sense that the two go together. I didn't really think about it until now.

My boyfriend and I also plan on adopting at least, if not more children when we are married.

I'm vegetarian. And I'm pro choice. Just like I feel that I cannot tell people how to eat (even tho I think it's great being a veg.)
I cannot tell people what to do with there lives (even tho, i personally against abortion) Hence the pro choice aspect, not pro abortion

I’m a vegetarian, and I’m a little on the fence. Actually, I’m pro-prevention. Instead of all of the bickering in Congress (and on the streets) about pro-life or pro-choice, I think that there should be pro-prevention. People need to be educated about contraceptive options.

I don't think the two are really related. Vegitarians don't all have the same views on things. Im a veg. and im completly against abortion, but thats just me. i don't believe anyone or any animal should have to sacrifice there life because people are *** holes.

In my opinion, anyone who values life should be against abortion. My opinion is that it is murder. And because it is murder (by definition.. the taking of an innocent life) I belive the govenment has every right to outlaw it, if they have the right to outlaw any other kind of murder.

But keep in mind that people can be hipocrytes, or maybe just not see things the same way I do. Also, there are many other reasons that people are vegetarians besides valuing life.

LOL I think someone on YA has a vendetta, simply because your question has to be reported. I get about 5 violations a day. Evidently people don't like my answers or my questions.
