To all of you, "dump him, don't sleep with him"- "talk to his parent's"? PLEASE...

1 out of 4 people have herpes and who knows the percentage of those 1's that don't even know it. It's not life threatening, it's not the plague. If he says he has herpes, but hasn't had any outbreaks, then perhaps their just far and few in between. Why take medication every day to potentially suppress something that might never show itself.

Read... Information is key
Approach your boyfried "Gently" regarding this and ask him questions, see what he knows about it. If you like him and would like something long lasting, but don't want the virus- then, now and always use protection.
Simple as that.
But be gentle

Good Luck

Some people don't take medication, some do. Medication reduces but may not eliminate outbreaks. If he only gets them rarely, he may not feel the need to take it. Let him know that you don't want to have sex with him unless he takes his medication. You'll learn pretty quickly how important it is to him to have sex with you. Then, you got to back that up, don't go back on your word. Also, I wouldn't trust him to take his meds, and you should just insist on condoms whether he takes medication or not.

You know for a fact he does? Or he is telling you he does? I would say use protection and put your foot down. If you don't have it and you don't want it, give him an untimatum. Take the medication or hit the road. Thats not fair to you.

Not him. Sit him down and have a serious conversation with him about your relationship and possible future sex life. Let him know that you love him but that if he cared about you he would never put you in danger of getting sick. Just tell him like it is. It doesn't mean you HAVE to break up, just think about your priorities.

Confront him about it tell him that he should do it because it's better for his health if he does. If he tells you off then maybe you should consider that he's not the right guy for you if he won't even listen to your opinion. Either way just talk to him about it and tell him your feelings.

Talk to him to save him or his parents. Even though it might be tough for him, the sooner the better easier to take care of.

If you have had unprotected sex with him, you have been exposed to herpes.
Not everyone get it, but the chances you will are very high.
Please see your doctor for tests, and if you have other boyfriends, please tell them and do not have unprotected sex.
